Carluccios renews deal with wi-fi provider after customer database increases by 26k

Carluccio’s has renewed its contract with Wi-Fi solutions provider, Wireless Social. Thanks to its technology, which gives venues the opportunity to understand their audience better through Wi-Fi data, the partnership has enabled the restaurant brand to collect over a million lines of invaluable data since 2015.

Wireless Social has worked with Carluccio’s for the past three years following a six month trial period across the estate. The partnership was an instant hit for Carluccio’s, which saw an average of 26,400 customers log on to the Wi-Fi network each month over the year.

Jon Taylor head of IT at Carluccio’s, said, “Wireless Social has proved itself to be an excellent product. It’s highly competitive and the customer service is second to none for both us as a company and our customers. It’s a solution that simply works with minimal input required from the Carluccio’s team.”

Carluccio’s extending the contract follows on from the news that Wireless Social has seen rapid growth with six new contract wins including; Azzurri Group, Oakmann Inns and Brasserie Blanc, worth in excess of £150k.

Julian Ross, managing director at Wireless Social, said, “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Carluccio’s over the past three years, it has been a hugely successful partnership. Carluccio’s really listens to its customers; a survey conducted by marketing firm, Purple reports that 60% of diners would be more loyal to a restaurant if it had access to the internet. This shows that if you invest in the technology you will reap the benefits.”
