Frontier Pubs launches site next to The Emirates

Frontier Pubs, the partnership between Ei Managed Investments and leading pub operator Food & Fuel, has opened its latest site, the Victoria Tavern, located in a prominent position on Holloway Road in close proximity to the Emirates Football Ground.

The site, which takes Frontier Pubs’ portfolio to seven, was previously called Liquor Works Following a significant investment, the team behind Food & Fuel has carefully renovated the two-story site in keeping with the accessible, fun feel of Frontier Pubs.

It boasts the same offer as the other Frontier pubs, with an extensive range of craft beer, accompanied by a selection of fresh handmade pizzas, served from an open plan pizza oven. Being a stones throw from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, sports will be a prominent focus at the venue, with a number of screens showing big match sport, in addition to busy match days.

In a first for Frontier Pubs, the bar will include a 'arcade bar' on its first floor with a fun neon interior, including: table football; Plonk Golf!, and a selection of arcade machines. The arcade bar is open to ‘walk ups’ and also available to hire out for private parties or group bookings.

Peter Myers, Commercial Director for Food & Fuel, said, “We’re very excited to open this latest site, which is the perfect location for us with our strong focus on sport and quality beer. Getting the best out of each site is something we work very hard on, and we feel the 'arcade bar' will create a real point of difference in the area and generate an additional pull when it’s not match day.

“Supporting local breweries is a theme you’ll notice across all of our sites, but we’ve gone one step further this time and created our own Craft Beer collaboration, which will be available on tap. The pub will debut Frontier Pubs’ first ever own label beer that has been brewed in collaboration with Harbour Brewing Company. The draft beer is a 4% unfiltered pilsner called Riptide that be rolled out across the entire Frontier estate and Food & Fuel pubs over March.

Nathan Wall, Operations Director for Ei Managed Investments, added, “Peter and his team know how to put together a great offer and get the best out of a pub. We’re delighted with how the pubs across the Frontier portfolio are trading and are confident this latest opening, with its unique ‘arcade bar’ and location, will be equally successful.”
