Drinks supremo Tony Conigliaro has today announced he will partner with Japanese beer brand Asahi Super Dry to launch the ‘Moon Garden’ at his Dalston restaurant and bar, Untitled, early this summer.
Set to officially open on Friday 18th May, the Asahi Moon Garden will be a 20-cover area accessible to the rear of Untitled, giving guests the chance to enjoy al fresco dining and drinking during the summer months.
The garden will offer a dedicated Asahi Super Dry bar, serving the premium Japanese beer on tap, as well as an extended sake list and garden cocktail menu. An open charcoal grill will add an element of theatre to proceedings, with a herb wall adorning the back wall (to be used across the food & drink menus).
Designed by Jasmin & Tom at Soho & Co, the new decked garden will be a Zen space, inspired by historic Japanese temple gardens. Regulars at Untitled, the duo seemed the obvious fit for the garden project.
Yakitori weekends
Each weekend, the garden will play host to a Japanese-style yakitori open-grill. Meat and vegetable skewer options will be available (as well as a vegan option), from 6pm through to 10pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Furthermore, on select Sundays throughout the summer, guest chefs from some of London’s leading restaurants will take the reins of the open-air grill to serve a one-off yakitori skewer menu in the garden; alongside options from Untitled’s talented executive chef, Rob Roy Cameron (ex-El Bulli). Restaurants in the confirmed line-up for the yakitori Sundays series include Soho ramen favourite, Koya and Peckham’s trendy neighbourhood restaurant Aside, with more names to follow.
Untitled tasting menu - 10 May
Rob Roy will once again serve his popular monthly tasting menu in the restaurant on Thursday 10th May - the curated five-course feast utilises the best in seasonal produce, and also includes a welcome drink and some ‘surprises’ (£45 per person, booking essential). The tasting menu is also available in the Moon Garden, weather permitting.
Tony Conigliaro opened Untitled on Kingsland Road, Hackney, in March 2017. The drinks list at the bar is curated by Tony and his team at Drink Factory, whilst the Japanese-inspired restaurant menu is curated by executive chef Rob Roy.
