Award-winning, independently run and owned Red Mist Leisure has announced a partnership with Farnborough College of Technology, starting in September 2018, to unveil two new apprenticeship schemes targeting Commis Chefs and Chefs de Partis, in a move designed to grow the kitchen talent in Surrey and Hampshire.
The pub group who’s ‘passion for food’, this year won it a prestigious national award for ‘best premium food offer’, is offering apprenticeship opportunities that involve working 4 days a week in one of its pub kitchens, combined with 1 day a week attending Farnborough College of Technology.
The college work will be a mixture of theory and practical assignments and the course will take just over one academic year to complete (September 2018 to September 2019), to also include the time needed to take the end assessment.
In addition, each Apprentice will have an assigned tutor who will visit them in their kitchen to check progress and assist in any areas that they may need further guidance.
