Kiss The Hippo to open second site next month

Following the debut cafe and coffee roastery in Richmond last year, Kiss The Hippo is opening its second London outlet in Fitzrovia this September.

Situated on Margarest Street and spread over two floors, the new outlet will focus on its range of coffee, including Japanese iced coffee, using the independent coffee roasters' sustainably sourced coffee beans.

The coffee beans are sourced from high-quality independent producers with fair, sustainable practices, which are roasted at Kiss The Hippo's site in Richmond using a high tech environmentally-friendly roaster.

The simple food offer will include Scrambled eggs & bacon on sourdough toast, smashed avocado & seeds on sourdough toast, birchers and salads.

There will also be sweet treats such as Apple crumble muffin, Almond croissant, Vegan banana cake, and Cinnamon roll with white chocolate icing.

The coffee cups and shop materials will be eco-friendly with zero plastic waste.

Entrepreneur Can Eren founded the brand and has been joined by the 2018 UK Barista Championship winner, Joshua Tarlo, as head of coffee, along with Paul Ross (the current champion), and Roosa Jalonen (the current Finnish Cup Tasters’ champion) joining the roastery team.
