Grand Trunk Road wins Best Fine Dining gong at Asian Curry Awards 2020

With an unparalleled reputation as one of London’s best Indian eateries, South Woodford’s Grand Trunk Road has continued to uphold its name with its latest accolade as the winners of Best Fine Dining Restaurant at the Asian Curry Awards 2020.

Via a live ceremony last night, organised by the Asian Catering Federation and in partnership with Just Eat, the awards included venues across the UK and championed quality food and delicious vision; other winners for London included Mango Indian in London Bridge and Surbiton’s Thali Ho.

With a kitchen fronted by Head Chef Dayashankar Sharma, the eatery has become a staple for exquisite fare in Essex and East London, with now renowned dishes including Pan-seared scallops with spicy tomato roasted garlic & pepper chutney, Duck breast with malt vinegar, ground mustard & apricot chutney, Lobster cooked with black and red peppercorn and capsicum with garlic masala and, of course, the GTR Classical Lamb Curry.

Owner Rajesh Suri, said, “We are so thrilled to win Best Fine Dining Restaurant at the Asian Curry Awards 2020. In such an unpredictable time for the Hospitality industry, we are proud to set the standard for Indian food and wish everyone nominated a successful 2021.”
Grand Trunk Road are currently taking bookings for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
