Arc inspirations reveals bar openings for Manchester & first in Birmingham

Premium bar operator, Arc Inspirations is set to expand its successful portfolio of brands with two new openings – Box, Deansgate, Manchester and its first site in the Midlands with Manahatta, Birmingham.

The group currently operates 17 premium bars across the North of England, under the brands of Banyan Bar & Kitchen, Box and Manahatta.

The company is now venturing into a new city, Birmingham, with the introduction of its Manahatta brand in September (CGI image pictured), and bringing a Box to Deansgate the following month.

Box is a game-changing, high-quality sports bar and kitchen where customers can eat, drink, view, play and party. Its current locations include Leeds City Centre, Headingley and Chapel Allerton. The 8,000sq ft Deansgate venue is spread over two floors, featuring a spectacular outdoor terrace.

The ground floor boasts an impressive island bar, surrounded by 20 top-of-the-range TV screens. The upstairs bar has an exclusive, luxurious feel, with plush velvet booths designed for the ultimate sports-viewing party experience.

Aside from being the best place to enjoy live sport, Box will also feature two 21-foot maple wood European Shuffleboard tables so guests can fully immerse themselves in the sports vibe.

The exciting set up of this first-class venue is partnered with a game-changing food and drink offering, complemented by a party atmosphere – the bar hosts live music and DJs playing favourite floor-fillers, and the resident Bandeoke, providing guests the chance to come on stage to perform with an experience band.

The main bar’s key showpiece is the tanks filled with Budvar, which arrives fresh and unpasteurised directly from the Czech Republic, served alongside a range of some of the UK’s favourite craft beers on tap.

The food menu includes a range of pizzas, burgers, kebabs, and more, offering some well-known classics and innovative showstoppers, all made with the finest quality ingredients. The cocktail menu includes classics from Pornstar and Espresso Martinis on draught – ensuring speedy service and quality drinks.

Manahatta, Birmingham is located on Temple Street and will be the seventh site for the brand, whose current locations include Leeds, Manchester, York and Harrogate. Known for being Instagrammable havens, the newest addition is set to be the most impressive yet. The New York-themed bar will boast two deluxe private party rooms available for hire – one including a swing, making the perfect Instagram photo moment.

The menu also features brand new dishes including new brunch and lunch offerings, including American-style pancakes, fully loaded bagels and deliciously balanced power bowls. Manahatta is set to deliver the flavour of the Upper East Side at any time of the day or week. For more indulgent occasions, the eye-catching Empire-State Chicken, or signature Steak Frites promise to be a taste-sensation not to be missed.

The venue’s top-class drinks selection is paired with high-quality, innovative cocktails. Manahatta will also be delivering super-size sharer cocktails and fizz magnums, to truly bring the larger-than-life spirit of the Big Apple to Birmingham. The fantastic Manahatta Bottomless experience will be available to book day or night and features American brunch dishes, prosecco, and refreshing spritz cocktails.

CEO Martin Wolstencroft said, “Despite a challenging time, we’re determined to push forward and grow our successful portfolio of brands by introducing them to new cities and locations. We’re thrilled to be coming to a new city and are confident the Manahatta brand will be a popular addition to the Birmingham bar scene. The new bar will create 75 new jobs in the local area and we’re delighted to be expanding our fantastic team.

“Box is currently well established in Leeds and the surrounding area, and Manchester has been a key target for some time now. We feel this is the right time to bring the brand to the city and the opening also fits perfectly with our cluster strategy of operating complementary brands in close vicinity to each other.”
