Adventure Bar Group launches second Blame Gloria site

The Adventure Bar Group, founders of famed late-night venues Tonight Josephine, Bar Elba, Nikki’s Bar and The Escapologist, has launched its second Blame Gloria site in the Capital.

The new venue replaces the Group’s original site in Clapham Junction, where the adventure began 16 years ago, bringing one of Covent Garden’s most unique cocktail bars to the heart of South-West London.

Since its inception in Summer 2018, the Blame Gloria brand has earned a glowing reputation for its outrageous drag brunches, mouth-watering speciality cocktails and opulent interiors.

The venue underwent a soft launch over the Bank Holiday weekend, but has now officially opened its doors, just in time for guests to catch the tail-end of the summer weather.
Upcoming plans for the new Blame Gloria site include its sell-out Mamma Mia Brunch, that sees a cast of wayward West End stars performing ABBA hits, and its funk-filled Disco Drag Brunch, bringing a sexy twist on the era of 70s disco.

Tom Kidd, Co-Founder of The Adventure Bar Group, commented, “After witnessing the success of Blame Gloria in Covent Garden, it was a no-brainer that bringing this unique venue to Clapham, the party hub of London, would be a hit. We aim to make this the go-to late night for locals, but also to attract party-goers from around the UK, by providing unforgettable experiences and unmatched vibes.”

Sarah Willingham, Founder and CEO of Nightcap Plc, which recently acquired The Adventure Bar Group, said, “We believe Adventure Bar Group and it’s unique brands have significant potential for expansion across the country. It’s amazing to see Blame Gloria arriving in Clapham in such a great site filled with a long cocktail history for both the community and for the Group. This is the first step to get their iconic brands into more areas and cities, with news to follow as our expansion plans continue to gain momentum.”

The Clapham Junction Blame Gloria site carries over the same outlandish interior design from its original Covent Garden haunt, and guests can expect garish prints, tonnes of sequins and, of course, plenty of Instagram-worthy photo spots.
