Butchies to open in Ealing next month


Butchies, London buttermilk fried chicken sandwich chain, is opening in Ealing on 19 March.

As well as serving up London’s best buttermilk fried chicken, Butchies’ is on a mission to “Spread Love” and help end homelessness, so they will also be donating meals to local homeless charity Ealing Soup Kitchen.

The new fast food restaurant is located just off Ealing Common in the new Ealing Filmworks development. There will be seating for 45 guests inside and 20 outside, perfect for making the most of the eagerly anticipated spring sunshine.

The heroes of the menu are Butchies’ famous fried buttermilk chicken sandwiches served in soft, buttered, toasted buns. Priced from £6 sandwiches include, The Original with house pickles and Butchies’ OG sauce; Cheesy Rider served with cheese dripping, house pickles and Butchies’ Sriracha chilli sauce; and Jenny from the Block with guacamole, chipotle mayo and smoked streaky bacon.

The menu also features Butchies’ award-winning Buffalo Wings and classic Buttermilk Chicken Tenders as well as Butchies’ own take on Popcorn Chicken. Vegans or flexitarians can enjoy the Vegan “OG” sandwich, with plant-based fried chicken, vegan “OG” sauce and house pickles.

Sides include Butch ‘Hot Shake’ Fries with Butchies hot chicken salt and spice blend; Cheese Fries with Red Leicester cheese dripping and the Insta-hit Halloumi Fries with hot chilli honey.

Speaking about the latest opening, Butchies’ founder Garrett Fitzgerald said, “We could not be more excited to be opening here. It's a real milestone for us, our biggest restaurant yet!

'We’ve come so far from our pop-up days, but our mission to serve the best buttermilk fried chicken sandwich in the world is still the same as it’s always been. We cannot wait to spread the Butchies love in Ealing.”

To celebrate, Butchies will be giving away 100 of its iconic OG Sandwiches to the first 100 guests through the doors from 12 noon that day.

Butchies began in 2013 and was a huge hit, with ever growing queues and demand leading to the first restaurant opening in Shoreditch in 2017. Butchies noiw operates five sites across the city.
