New Finance Director is appointed at Comptoir Group


The owner and operator of a Lebanese-inspired restaurant chain has announced the appointment of James Fisher as its new finance director.

Comptoir Group, which oversees the Comptoir Libanais brand, has also welcomed Fisher as a new member of its board.

With over a decade of experience in senior financial roles within the consumer and hospitality sectors, Fisher joins Comptoir Group with a wealth of expertise.Fisher joins Comptoir Group with a wealth of expertise. Previously, he served as finance director at Wahaca from September 2020, following his tenure as financial controller from 2018 to 2020. Prior to his time at Wahaca, Fisher held positions as senior finance manager at BT and group reporting manager at Inchcape.

Fisher's appointment finalises the restructure of the group's senior leadership team, following the appointment of Travis Fish as operations director and Dominika Kurowska as people director.

Fish brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as managing director of Ballie Ballerson, a cocktail bar operator, and as co-founder of the Middle Eastern QSR brand Bababoom. His background also includes positions at Nando's and Mitchells & Butlers.

Kurowska comes with a strong background in the hospitality industry, having previously held senior positions with contract caterers CH&Co and Harbour & Jones. She has most recently been consulting for various hospitality brands, bringing a wealth of experience to her new role.
