A planning application has been submitted to South Gloucestershire County Council for a development next to the Yate Shopping Centre car park on Link Road.
The plans, which are from Dominion Corporate Trustees who own the shopping centre, include a new six-screen cinema, seven restaurants, a riverside café and three retail outlets.
If the application is approved, after going to the council’s planning committee in early February, the £12m development would create 250 jobs once fully occupied and then an extra 150 jobs during the construction phase.
Work on the site could begin in late 2014 with a completion date set for late 2015.
