St Austell Brewery to invest £1.5m in pub restaurant in Exeter

Cornish brewer St Austell is set to open a new £1.5m pub restaurant on the Quay in Exeter in November, creating 40 new jobs.

The Brewery is converting a derelict 19th century warehouse, in Commercial Road on The Quay into the new pub restaurant called Samuel Jones.

The new venue will focus on “craft ale and smokehouse style food” which will be cooked on chargrills and barbecue ovens in open theatre-style kitchens.

St Austell Brewery currently operates 168 pubs, hotels and inns across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
