Samworths has split its Walkers Midshire Foods division into two separate businesses: Walkers Deli and Walkers Sausage Co. An innovation centre (pictured) has been created for both divisions which comprises of a kitchen, demonstration theatre and boardroom.
The firm is also planning to expand the workforce at its new £17m sandwich factory at Ashton Green in Leicestershire from 370 to 500 by next summer. The facility supplies sandwiches and salads to Tesco.
