The Gym Group is planning to open up to 30 gyms a year, and is seeking 15,000 sq ft sites across the country.
The Gym Group was founded in 2007 and operates 42 gyms across the UK. The firm operates a low-cost business model, with contract-free membership based around cardio and strength training equipment and group classes.
Last month, Pure Gym and The Gym Group announced plans to merge amid growing membership at fitness clubs. Pure Gym launched in 2009 and operates 61, 24-hour gyms across the UK with one site in Northern Ireland.
