Naked Wines gets set for growth with move to larger HQ

Following the sales of the group to Majestic Wines this month, Naked Wines is to relocate its Norwich headquarters to a larger site in June.

The group is preparing to move from The Close in Norwich to Norvic House, in Chapelfield Road, doubling its office space as staff levels are set to grow from the current number of 135.

Naked Wines, which was founded in 2008, recorded a £3m loss in December despite a 40% year-on-year growth in turnover to £74m.

In the current year to March 31 2016, Naked Wines was expected to continue to grow sales significantly and record a profit.

In recent weeks, Naked Wines reported a 37% surge in sales of rosé wine as customers get ready for spring. It has also seen an 18% rise in sales of champagne and other sparkling wines helping year-on-year group sales figures to climb by 20%.
