Tomahawk Steakhouse plans growth to 20 sites by 2020

Tomahawk Steakhouse is planning to expand its North East-based restaurant chain by 10 by the end of the year and 20 sites by the end of 2020.

Howard Eggleston and Tom Sturman opened the first Tomahawk Steakhouse in Potto, North Yorkshire in 2017, and currently has five sites in Yarm, Newcastle Quayside, Hustwaite and Ponteland, with a sixth opening in Darlington in July.

Sites have already been earmarked for new Tomahawk Steakhouses in Newcastle, Gateshead, Morpeth and Wynyard.

Also, Tommy Hawks takeaway in Yarm High Street is almost set to open, and the team is working on a Brazilian Rodizio concept for Newcastle, which will open towards the end of this year.

The Tomahawk Steakhouse brand offers a menu with Tomahawk steaks, Himalayan salt dry-aged beef and Yorkshire wagyu, as well as vegetarian, chicken, fish and seafood dishes.

The company additionally operates the Hide Cocktail Bar & Grill and The Boat Club Cocktail Bar & Eatery.
