Innovative street food and live events venues, Boxpark has been listed as one of the fastest growing UK companies at number 52 in the 24th annual Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list for the third consecutive year, after securing strong ranks in the league table from 2019 and 2018.
In just three years, BOXPARK has expanded the team significantly from 40 to 165 employees and achieved 58% sales growth per annum to £15.9m in the year to April 2020. The business has continued to report rapid growth and steady sales despite difficult trading conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the first UK lockdown, Boxpark was forced to close its three sites but were able to retain the majority of its staff thanks to the Government furlough scheme, and with a successful reopening in July, a few key senior hires were made to drive business growth.
Before the UK went into lockdown, Boxpark announced plans to open 10 new sites over the next five years in major UK cities including London, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
A key strategy for the roll-out acquisition includes the inception of a sibling concept BoxHall, smaller 10,000 to 20,000sq ft F&B-focused destinations that will each feature between 6-12 street food traders.
