The Ivy Asia, Chelsea has announced it will be opening its doors on the prestigious King’s Road on 30 July, with reservations going live from today.
In celebration of the opening, The Ivy Asia, Chelsea took to Albert Bridge, enlisting the help of stunning ribbon dancers to perform a routine at dusk, basking under the bright lights of the bridge and marking the restaurant’s opening in the heart of Chelsea.
Open seven days a week, The Ivy Asia, Chelsea will offer everything from lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. The kitchen will be overseen by Head Chef Paolo Bianchi, Executive Chef Simon Gregory, and Sushi Chef Shie Noh.
Dishes will take inspiration from cuisines spanning the continent of Asia and will feature much-loved favourites from sister restaurant The Ivy Asia, St Paul’s, as well as new dishes served exclusively in Chelsea. Highlights will include Salmon Sashimi with spiced yuzu and avocado salsa, Roasted Half Aromatic Crispy Duck, and Hunan-Spiced Pork Ribs with sesame and coriander.
Also available will be platters, including the Ming Dynasty, adorned with a fresh selection of sashimi, tuna nigiri, and oscietra caviar, wagyu beef tempura with enoki mushroom, and gold and black truffle sauce, and The Bonzai, accompanied by assorted vegetable and shiso tempura, steamed yasai dumplings with spiced avocado, cucumber takuan avocado with asparagus maki roll, and truffled teriyaki with shitake and eryngii mushrooms.
Accompanying the menu will be a delicious selection of cocktails intended to transport and excite guests, all created by Bar Manager Arsid Kapllanaj and his team. As well as The Ivy Asia’s signature cocktails, Arsid has created a list of Elemental Cocktails, each symbolising one of the elements.
These include Siu, representing water, made with Fen Chiew Chinese baijiu, Monkey 47 gin, Briottet blue curaco, sugar syrup, and Fever-Tree lime and yuzu soda; and Kaze, representing wind and made with Kakuzo Bitter Cherry, Mancino Cherry Blossom Vermouth and Roku Gin.
As well as this, sakes, wines, Champagnes and Jing specialty Asian teas will be available.
