Women in Wholesale has announced its theme for the October conference – Building Better People and Teams – with a focus on recruitment, retention and self development.
“Labor shortages in the UK has made having a recruitment campaign that attracts the best people more important than ever before,” said WiW Founder, Elit Rowland.
Among the speakers, Dominic Flanagan, UK HR & Training Manager at Costco Wholesale, will reveal the group’s successful recruitment strategy in his session ‘Hiring for Success'.
Recruiting the person, not the skill, has helped Costco to develop future leaders for the business organically. Taking this approach leads to more engaged employees, reduces recruitment costs and improves business efficiency, ensuring great service for members.
Meanwhile, Chloe Ball, Operations Manager at AF Blakemore will share how she helped to bring huge operational efficiencies to the business, being promoted several times to become Operations Manager at the age of 20. In her new role, Ball manages a team of more than 150 people and recently won the Amazon Everywoman Logistics Leader Award.
A total of 14-speakers will join the free-of-charge event, which is taking place on Zoom Webinar on 7 October at 10:45am.
