A modern Eastern Mediterranean restaurant brand has announced the opening of its fifth location, set to launch in September.
Brother Marcus is set to bring the flavors of Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus to its new restaurant in London's Covent Garden. Known for its brunch and small plate offerings across the capital, Brother Marcus Covent Garden will be the brand's largest site to date, featuring two terraces overlooking The Yard between Mercer Street and Upper St Martin's Lane.
Established by three friends in 2016, the brand now has restaurants in Angel, Borough Yards, South Ken and Spitalfields Market. The menu draws inspiration from one of the founders' Cretan heritage, featuring recipes passed down through generations.
The new location will feature two bars, one on each floor, offering high seating and hand-crafted cocktails that showcase the brand's signature Eastern Mediterranean herbs, spices, and liquors. Additionally, the restaurant will provide an extensive selection of Greek wines.
The two-floor venue will start weekdays with breakfast, transitioning into an all-day mezze menu. On weekends, brunch will be served until 4pm, after which the menu will shift to sharing plates.
Morning dishes include sweet potato fritters, smokey shakshuka, fried chicken rosti, and breakfast pitas filled with labneh, Kasundi jam, kofta, eggs, spinach, and feta.
Later in the day, guests can choose from larger seasonal sharing plates, such as pan-fried halloumi with watermelon jam and mint, crispy aubergine skewers with shatta herb sauce, labneh, and grape molasses, pan-seared bream with almond and dill gremolata, and roast chicken with sun-dried tomato harissa, fresh herb salad, labneh, and nigella seeds.
The site will also offer Marcus' Choice, a specially curated set menu, as well as a pre-theatre menu featuring the Rip & Dip platter plus two mezze dishes for £25, available from 5–8pm Tuesday to Friday.
