Young’s Pubs is continuing its expansion of pubs with rooms by opening a new site, the Teller's Arms, this October.
The Teller’s Arms, formerly an old bank situated in the heart of Farnham, Surrey, has been extensively renovated to become a vibrant pub with a capacity of 168 guests. The newly transformed venue features nine boutique bedrooms, an all-day dining area, a bar, a spacious roof terrace, and dedicated meeting and event spaces. Guests can enjoy an all-day dining menu crafted by Head Chef Ryan Patterson, highlighting the finest seasonal British produce, alongside a curated selection of local craft and draught beers.
The design of the Teller’s Arms, spearheaded by the Harrison agency, draws inspiration from the building’s rich history while honoring its heritage. Original features, including fireplaces and the iconic Teller’s clock, have been preserved. The space showcases elegant finishing touches such as wooden herringbone flooring, Victorian tiling, and chandeliers, all harmoniously blended with vibrant interiors and contemporary decor. By spring 2025, a retractable roof will be installed on the rooftop terrace, allowing for alfresco dining regardless of the weather.
Perfectly situated for both business trips and weekend escapes, the Teller’s Arms will feature nine uniquely designed bedrooms. Each room will reflect the charm of the surrounding area, including Farnham’s Bishop Meadow, with decor and furnishings sourced from local suppliers to support nearby businesses.
Simon Dodd, CEO at Young & Co.’s Brewery P.L.C. said: “We are delighted to be opening Teller’s Arms in the heart of Farnham, bringing a new pub offering to the high street. In-keeping with our ongoing strategy to celebrate venues with heritage, the new pub will offer a premium experience which blends the history of the site with the charm of a country pub and we look forward to welcoming guests from near and far.”
Located near Farnham Station and just an hour away from London by train, the Teller’s Arms aims to be a popular destination for locals, city dwellers, and tourists alike. Young’s currently operates 42 premium pubs with rooms across London and the South of England under its Young’s Room brand, complementing its broader portfolio of pubs.
