BrewDog has appointed Lisa Buckley as Chief Retail Officer and the company will place her in charge of the company’s expansive retail operations worldwide, with oversight across more than 120 bars and hotels. Her position on the Senior Leadership Team means she’ll be closely collaborating with CEO James Arrow starting from January 6, 2025.
Prior to joining BrewDog, Lisa was most recently CEO of Leisure TV Rights, the immersive activity venues company behind leisure concepts and formats that bring well known TV programmes including Ninja Warriors and The Chase to the general public. Lisa was previously Managing Director of Côte Brasserie and UK Operations Director of Wagamama.
Earlier in her career, Lisa held various roles at Tragus Group and Casual Dining Group (CDG), advancing from Regional and Area Manager positions—where she oversaw Bella Italia and Café Rouge restaurants—to central functions and ultimately a broader operational role as UK Operations Director.
As Chief Retail Officer at BrewDog, Lisa will oversee the global retail operations for the craft brewer, managing more than 120 bars and hotels worldwide. Her responsibilities include flagship locations such as BrewDog Waterloo and BrewDog Las Vegas.
Earlier this year, BrewDog expanded with openings in Bangkok, Denver—its first-ever U.S. franchise and tenth location in the United States—as well as Perth, marking its fifth location in Australia, and a second bar in Rotterdam, BrewDog Witte de Withstraat.
BrewDog is also advancing its expansion into major travel hubs, with recent openings at Edinburgh Waverley station and the new “BrewDog Arms” pub at London Waterloo. These additions follow successful launches at London Gatwick’s North Terminal and Amsterdam Centraal Station, part of a growth strategy that includes partnering to open and operate BrewDog bars and venues in some of the world’s busiest and most significant travel destinations.
Commenting on Lisa’s appointment, BrewDog CEO James Arrow said “I’m focused on hiring exceptional new talent into the business and strengthening our leadership team and I’m thrilled Lisa will be joining us. She brings an incredible array of hospitality experience and is a critical hire as we evolve as a brand, develop our crew and customer offer, scale globally and importantly drive profitability across our business. Lisa shares our passion for people, beer and the planet, and I’m looking forward to welcoming her to our Senior Leadership Team”.
Lisa Buckley said she's '“Super excited to join the team at BrewDog! I have always considered it is an exciting brand that has grown exponentially and really looking forward to being part of the next chapter.'
