Michelin-starred Hinds Head offers special Classics Menu

The Hinds Head pub, which just won the hotly contested ‘Best Pub for Food’ in the Great British Pub Awards 2024, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, now invites guests to enjoy a new menu on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Classics Menu’s starters include exceptional versions of traditional dishes like Pea & Ham Soup with the original soft-yolk Scotch Egg; Mushroom Parfait; and Lapsang Souchong Tea Smoked Salmon.

Mains are similarly inspired interpretations of comfort classics such as Petit Salé of Duck; Jerusalem Artichoke Tart; and of course Fish with the world-famous Triple-cooked Chips.

The desserts continue this tradition of precisely prepared dishes that are both historical and innovative with Quaking Pudding and Blackberry Fool. And there is, naturally, a selection of superlative British cheeses.

Head Chef Edoardo Brambilla said: “The Hinds Head is the birthplace of the Triple-cooked Chip and the runny Scotch Egg, and our menu is built around the Great British classics. The kitchen team is proud of what they do, and we are all incredibly excited to be able to offer even more diners the chance to explore our incredible, award-winning dishes.”

Restaurant Manager Ellen Romeo said: “Opening the doors to the Hinds Head seven days a week makes it easier for people to ensure a spot in our beautiful pub. We are just an stone’s throw from London – it takes less than an hour on the Elizabeth Line to reach Bray – and expanding our opening hours reflects the pub’s growing popularity and diners’ desire to experience fabulous food in a quintessential English country pub.”

Heston Blumenthal OBE said: “A British pub is a wonderful thing – welcoming, relaxing, solid and nostalgic. When I bought the Hinds Head twenty years ago, I was determined that that’s exactly what it would be like, and I’m proud to say me and my team have turned the place into exactly that – a proper pub. Whether you’re here for just a drink and a snack, or for a perfect plate or two of beautifully cooked comfort food, it’s a really satisfying spot in which to while away an hour or two – and even more so now that we’re launching our special Classics Menu. So why not drop by, settle into a leather armchair, order a pint and find out what we’re serving up? Whatever day you come, great food is awaiting you.”
