Gloucestershire inn celebrates second AA rosette

Stow-on-the-Wold's Old Stocks Inn has just received a prestigious second AA rosette for its restaurant.

The boutique hotel’s restaurant has been promoted to a two-rosette rating following a wealth of positive praise from the AA’s inspector.

The assessment saw everything from the restaurant’s hospitality, service and cleanliness reviewed, as well as the food served by the hotel’s head chef Ian Percival and his team.

The purpose of the AA ratings is to give visitors a guide by which to compare hotels and restaurants that have the same star rating. The latest accolade adds to the Old Stocks Inn’s existing five-star hotel rating.

The inspector of the Old Stocks Inn commented that, “check-in was seamless with lots of great orientation and information about the facilities and room amenities all excellently explained.”

With regard to the restaurant, she said, “Service was relaxed, informed and delicate and the team were like perfectly choreographed dancers moving around each other seamlessly and effortlessly” and “the pollock starter was fresh, crisp and clean. Really well balanced and delightful.”

Summing up her stay, the inspector said, “The rooms are spotless and the whole place is run with passion and creativity and flair. The Old Stocks Inn is just a delight to spend time in.”

Charlotte Tuck, general manager at the Old Stocks Inn, said, “The whole team is really pleased with the glowing feedback received after our inspection and we delighted to now hold two prestigious AA rosettes for the restaurant.

“This is credit to the hard work of everyone involved at the Old Stocks Inn who all work tirelessly to ensure we deliver our guests a high quality and enjoyable stay.”
