Little Door & Co., renowned for its house-party inspired late-night ambiance, is set to unveil its fifth location on Kingly Street come June.
Expanding its central London presence, The Little Violet Door marks the group's second venture in the heart of the city, complementing its existing Soho establishment, The Little Scarlet Door. Adding to its vibrant neighborhood locations—The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, The Little Blue Door in Fulham, and The Little Orange Door in Clapham—the group is poised to exceed 150 employees upon the new site's launch. With this growth trajectory, the company anticipates achieving a turnover of £12 million by the end of 2024.
Nestled within Shaftesbury Capital’s vibrant Soho enclave, the upcoming establishment spans 3,400 square feet and accommodates up to 180 guests. Occupying the historic premises at 9 Kingly Street, once home to the iconic music venue Bag O’ Nails, frequented by legends like Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Pete Townshend, the venue boasts two floors and a charming terrace for outdoor seating.
Behind the Doors Design has skillfully transformed the fictional West End flat into a vibrant reality, epitomising the quintessential lived-in atmosphere synonymous with the Little Door & Co. ethos. Every corner of the space exudes the charm of a genuine home, complete with eclectic soft furnishings, captivating prints, inviting bookcases, and curated record collections. Paying homage to the cultural dynamism of Swinging London in the 1960s, as well as the spirited fashion and music scenes of the 70s and 80s, the design incorporates nostalgic touches that transport guests on a journey through time.
On the ground floor, guests are welcomed into a laid-back sitting room area adjacent to a vinyl bar, setting the stage for cozy gatherings and casual conversations. Descending downstairs, the design is tailored for the ultimate flat party experience. At the core of the venue lies the kitchen disco, where DJs will spin tunes, infusing the space with a lively house party atmosphere from Wednesday to Saturday. Additional rooms on the lower ground floor include a living room, laundry room, and a games room equipped with retro video game consoles and a dedicated cocktail bar, ensuring endless entertainment for all guests.
Drawing inspiration from the flat's eclectic DVD collection, the cocktail menu at The Little Violet Door offers inventive libations served in unconventional vessels like vases and trophies, with larger sharers presented in giant disco balls. Diverging from its sister venues, The Little Violet Door will open its doors daily from noon, offering a menu of delectable sharing dishes such as tacos and mezze boards. Additionally, guests can indulge in The Little Door & Co.'s signature bottomless brunch every weekend, ensuring a delightful culinary experience seven days a week.
