The Petersham creates Chelsea Flower Shower-inspired afternoon tea

With this year’s Chelsea Flower Show fast approaching, The Petersham in Richmond will be celebrating London’s most prestigious horticultural event with a specially created floral inspired afternoon tea.

Head Chef Jean-Didier has hand-crafted a selection of floral-based desserts to be served alongside traditional homemade scones and finger sandwiches. The bespoke afternoon tea features botanical inspired creations such as a hibiscus Crème Brûlée, a white chocolate mousse with rose, and a truffle lollipop with lavender and strawberry – each decorated with edible flora and fauna.

Accompanying the menu is also an extensive selection of light and fruity loose-leaf teas, with flavours ranging from White Pear & Ginger to Persian Pomegranate.

With its beautiful location perched on the side of leafy Richmond Hill, The Petersham restaurant boasts spectacular floor-to-ceiling views over the River Thames.

The Petersham’s Floral Afternoon Tea will be available from 20 May to 30 June and will be served from 3pm to 5:30pm (Monday - Saturday) or 4pm to 5:30pm (Sunday).
