First brunch menu has been announced at Wagamamas

Pan-Asian restaurant chain, Wagamamas, is venturing into brunch for the first time ever.

Starting on July 17, brunch will be available at select locations from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, marking the earliest opening time for the brand. The brunch menu will be offered across 22 key locations in London, as well as the North and South of the UK.

The brunch menu will feature a variety of smaller, larger, and sharing dishes. Highlights include the chicken katsu waffle, which can be enjoyed either sweet or savory, with guests choosing between the classic katsu sauce or a miso caramel vegan ice cream with rich toffee sauce. A plant-based alternative, the banana katsu waffle, will also be available.

Inspired by customer demand for bao buns, Wagamama has introduced a series of 'morning bao,' filled with options like bacon, sausage, vegan bacon, or vegan sausage. The menu will also feature sides such as Japanese-style corn fritters and bang bang hash browns.

London-based coffee brand Grind will supply the beans for coffee, while the chain will also offer a selection of cocktails and mocktails to complete the brunch experience.

Kay Bartlett, chief marketing officer at Wagamama, comments: 'We've seen an increase in the consumer demand for an all-day dining offering and appetite for brunch dishes. This announcement is in response to that, and we're thrilled to introduce our Wagamama take on brunch. The decision to open our restaurants at 8.30am has involved a great amount of hard work and dedication from our brilliant teams and we're really proud and excited about this latest round of innovation and chapter in the Wagamama story.'
