The Athenian to launch three more Delivery kitchens


London's Greek street food concept, The Athenian is set to launch three further Delivery kitchens across the capital, including Balham in July and Kentish Town and Wandsworth in August.

The Athenian works closely with Deliveroo and the new kitchens are added alongside the chain's existing locations in Wood Green, Brighton, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester.

The Athenian team are excited to expand across London opening news sites, as well as returning to areas known to be a hit, including Balham, which will cover the Tooting area.

The Athenian, since its inception in 2014, has developed from a humble food stall into one of the nation’s favourite street food brands with a loyal customer following.

The Athenian’s award-winning menu is providing a new way to enjoy Greek food with its range of signature souvlakis, gyros, tempting sides and snacks as well as comprehensive plant based options. The Athenian was awarded both Restaurant of the Year and Best Editions Restaurant at the 2020 UK Deliveroo Restaurant Awards.

The menu focuses around lovingly-made, mouth-watering souvlaki and gyros. Souvlaki simply means little skewer and is the perfect combination of soft pita wrapped around lightly chargrilled meat, or cheese, which has been marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs.

The Athenian’s fillings range from classic tender chicken or juicy pork, to the more unusual vegan gyros, all available to order as wrap, in a box or ‘naked’ which means simply served with a refreshing Greek salad.
