It’s Bagels to open second location

It’s Bagels is opening a second location in Notting Hill this August.

Founder Dan Martensen, a 'born and bred New Yorker,' initially launched It’s Bagels as a pop-up and delivery service in 2022 at Caravan Brewbar in Islington. The first permanent location opened in September 2023.

Since then, the bagel brand has garnered hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok and draws daily queues, earning features in magazines like Esquire and FT HTSI. To meet the growing demand, the team is now launching It’s Bagels 2.0.

The new 500-square-foot location, situated at the corner of Westbrook Grove, will accommodate 14 guests inside and 16 on the outdoor terrace. The Notting Hill site will feature the same classic offerings: freshly baked house-made bagels with plain or flavored schmears, smoked fish, deli salads, and a variety of hot and cold drinks.

Opening on August 5, the new shop will showcase its signature selection of bagels, including the Works (cream cheese, lox, onion, capers, lemon, tomato) and BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese). It will also offer permanent versions of its limited-edition flavors, such as the Salt Beef Bagel (pulled salt beef, French’s mustard, house pickles, shaved red onion, kewpie mayo, melted Swiss cheese).

Martensen said: “When we opened last year, we could only hope for a positive response. We knew we loved the product, but to see London embrace us, has been truly amazing. We could not be more excited to open a second location in Notting Hill, a neighbourhood we love.”
