Sticks 'n' Sushi appoints Kushal Banerjee as CFO

The Danish-Japanese restaurant group, known for its sushi and grilled sticks, has appointed Kushal Banerjee as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Banerjee brings over 17 years of experience to his new role at Sticks 'n' Sushi. In his new role, Banerjee will oversee the finance teams across Copenhagen, Berlin, and London. His responsibilities will include leading financial decision-making, implementing strategic board recommendations, and contributing to the company's ongoing expansion efforts.

He joins Sticks 'n' Sushi from Azzurri Group, the operator of ASK and Zizzi, where he served as finance director for five years. His previous roles include positions at Daily Mail & General Trust PLC, Lion Capital, and Manchester United, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role as CFO.

'Sticks 'n' Sushi has always stood out to me as a beautifully curated brand, with a rich heritage and unique potential,' Banerjee comments. 'I'm thrilled to be joining the team as CFO at such an exciting time for the business and developing the strategy for expansion.'

Brand CEO Andreas Karlsson adds: 'We are delighted to have Kushal join the Sticks 'n' Sushi family. His extensive experience will be invaluable in supporting the brand growth and driving the business forward, as we continue to expand and explore into new territories, create new jobs and long-term value for our stakeholders.'
