Dalata debuts Its first hotel in Liverpool

Ireland’s Dalata Hotel Group has opened its first property in Liverpool, solidifying its plans for expansion in the UK.

The 268-bedroom Maldron hotel, designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating, includes a bar, the brand’s signature Grain & Grill restaurant, a dedicated meeting and events floor with three meeting rooms, and an on-site gym.

Led by general manager Kirsty Monington, this marks the group’s fourth opening this year across the UK.

Last month, Dalata opened a hotel in Manchester’s Cathedral Quarter, increasing its total number of properties in Manchester to four. The group is also set to open Maldron hotels in Brighton and London’s Shoreditch in the coming months.

Dermot Crowley, chief executive at Dalata Hotel Group, said: “We are proud to take our Maldron Hotel brand to Merseyside. Liverpool is an exciting city, and we are confident our new hotel will be extremely popular with our guests.

“The opening of Maldron Hotel Liverpool is further proof of Dalata’s commitment to our UK expansion, and we are excited about the upcoming openings in London and Brighton.”

“Liverpool was a key city for us as part of our expansion strategy and this successful opening is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our outstanding team at Maldron Hotel Liverpool.”

The Dalata Hotel Group manages a portfolio of 55 properties under the Maldron, Clayton, and Unique and Boutique hotel brands.
