Lussmanns set to return to London after a 20-year absence

The seafood and grill restaurant group Lussmanns is poised to make a comeback in London after a 20-year absence as part of its expansion plans.

The business was founded by restaurateur Andrei Lussmann in North Kensington in 2002. It later relocated to Hertfordshire in 2004 and subsequently expanded, opening five sites across the county.

Now, Lussmanns has acquired the former Côte site on Highgate High Street, which accommodates 130 covers. The restaurant is set to reopen in August, marking Lussmanns' return to London after a two-decade absence.

Lussmanns is also scheduled to open its seventh restaurant in Woburn in October.

The Highgate restaurant will include a café area at the front of the building, offering coffees, spritzes, and dishes from the main menu. Future plans include providing sandwiches, salads, and takeaway drinks.

The Highgate restaurant will feature a bar area serving Lussmanns' own Garden Gin and beers from Hertfordshire’s Mad Squirrel brewery. Additionally, the main restaurant will include a 30-cover walled garden for diners to enjoy.
