Spanish hotel group, Melia Hotels is to begin construction later this year on its fifth UK hotel situated in Birmingham. Planning consent has been granted for the new ‘Left Bank’ scheme near Brindleyplace in the city.
The development will include the construction an 18-storey, 180-bedroom INNSIDE hotel along with a ground floor restaurant and cafe. The scheme will also include a 22-storey residential block to the rear plus retail outlets.
Melia Hotels has just opened their first INNSIDE hotel in the UK in central Manchester with 208 bedrooms.
