Second Modern Pantry to open next month


Anna Hansen is set to launch a second site for The Modern Pantry next month in London's Finsbury Circus.

This opening will follow the success of the chef's first restaurant in Clerkenwell, which launched in 2008.

The new eatery will feature a tapas bar, restaurant and private dining room taking over the ground floor of a large Georgian building on the corner of Finsbury Square.

The tapas menu for the tapas bar will offer dishes like: Chilled pea & lemongrass soup, Iranian lime cream, and Smoked mussel, avocado, seaweed & brown crab mayonnaise brioche bun.

Main dishes served in the restaurant will include: Confit duck leg, anise marinated black fig, pickled pink onion & grilled endive, black cumin & liquorice dressing, olive & macadamia crumb, and Amchur & fenugreek marinated lamb rump, pea & lemon verbena puree.

Opening hours will be 7am for breakfast followed by lunch and dinner, while the tapas bar will open daily at 11am and stay open until 11pm.
