New managing director for Jurys Inn


Lone Star's Amaris Hospitality has appointed Jason Carruthers managing director of Jurys Inn.

Carruthers will take up his role in early January 2016. Working closely with the Amaris Hospitality management team, and reporting to Amaris CEO John Brennan, he will oversee the implementation of a strategy aimed at growing the Jurys Inn business and brand.

Carruthers was previously CEO of Andrew Brownsword Hotels, a collection of privately owned Hotels including the ABode Hotels and Gidleigh Park. Previously, Carruthers held the role of vice president Operations at Accor, where he managed a portfolio of 24 Mercure Hotels. Prior to that, Carruthers held senior positions with Novotel and Shire Hotels.

Commenting on the appointment John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality, said, “We’re delighted to welcome a hospitality executive of Jason’s calibre to Jurys Inn and he joins the company at a very exciting point in time.
