University of Leicester’s is to have a new £12.6m Cardiovascular Research Centre at Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital. Work is due to start on the 2,200 sq m building shortly and is scheduled for completion in February 2012.
The centre will effectively double available research space with new laboratories and a biobank capable of storing samples from up to 100,000 individuals.
