Crussh launches new menu


Crussh has launched a new menu which includes three different flavours of sashimi salad pots, two new protein pots made from skyr natural yoghurt and an almond butter protein breakfast smoothie.

The new offers have been influenced by healthy eating from countries including Iceland, Hawaii and Peru.

The three brand new sashimi salads are inspired by the South American dish ceviche. They are all high in protein and low in sugar and make for a great alternatives for a healthy lunch.

The new salmon sashimi salad pot has been influenced by South East Asian cuisine with a dressing that includes fish sauce and soya. Mixed with the fresh pieces of salmon are zero noodles, edamame beans, seaweed and freshly chopped coriander.

The new tuna sashimi salad pot is based on Hawaiian poke – a mix of raw fish with a soya based dressing. The dressing for this salad includes soya, sesame oil, fresh lemon and lime juice with Peruvian yellow chilli pepper to add a little kick. With the raw chunks of tuna come zero noodles, edamame beans, seaweed and freshly chopped coriander. This salad is really refreshing and comes in at just 108 calories per serving!

The last of the new sashimi salads is our Mahi Mahi sashimi with dressing - the brand's take on the classic South American dish ceviche. With generous chunks of Mahi Mahi, a white fish from the tropics, matched with a dressing of fresh lime and fresh ginger juice, Peruvian yellow chilli pepper and yuzu juice. Seaweed, zero noodles, edamame beans, red onion and freshly chopped coriander are included to mix in with the fish. A fresh, zesty pot of protein that has just a little heat,

The brand took inspiration for the new yoghurt protein pots from Iceland. Skyr, a natural yoghurt from Iceland is high in protein, calcium and other vitamins and it is also low in fat, and is combined with different fruits.

The almond and apple protein pot is topped with toasted flaked almonds, at the base of the pot nestles a generous portion of apple compote that has been sweetened with agave syrup and spiced with a hint of cinnamon. While the new cherry and pistachio protein pot is topped with pistachios and at the bottom of the pot are a handful of sour cherries that add a delicious, subtle sweetness to the yoghurt.

Crussh asked its Twitter followers if they would prefer a peanut butter based smoothie or an almond butter based one. Almond butter won hands down with 74% of the vote.

Freshly blended in-store, the new almond butter breakfast smoothie is handmade with almond butter, low-fat yoghurt, CRUSSH's breakfast muesli, banana, organic honey and wheatgerm. It's full of protein (more than 16g in a regular size cup).
