Imperial War Museum appoints Servest as soft FM provider for 5 sites

Servest has won a five-year, multi-site soft services contract with Imperial War Museums.
Beginning 1 November, the company will deliver services to a unique property portfolio that includes the Imperial War Museum London, the Churchill War Rooms, HMS Belfast, Duxford and the Libeskind building in Manchester.

The contract scope includes cleaning, front of house, waste and pest services, as well as event support. The latter will see Servest working with IWM during its programme of special events including the three annual two-day airshows at Duxford.

The service provider says that IWM, seeking to move away from working with multiple partners, wanted to appoint one company that could offer a high-quality, cost-effective soft services solution. During the six-month competitive tender process, Servest demonstrated the knowledge and experience required to deliver value to these unique sites.

Tim Strofton, Assistant Director of Visitor & Property Services at IWM, said, “Servest proposed an innovative solution that will raise standards across the board. What’s more, the service provider actively engaged with us throughout the process, testament to Servest’s ability to build strong relationships.

'For us, it’s imperative that we can trust our partners - and Servest’s commitment, enthusiasm and impressive track record mirrors what we were looking for in a soft services provider.”
