Oakman Inns And Restaurants Opens Sixth Site

Hertfordshire-based pub company Oakman Inns and Restaurants, has opened its sixth site in Witney, Oxfordshire, following a £3m investment.

The purchase of the Blue Boar comes after the success of the refurbishment of the Kings Arms in Berkhamstead. Owner Peter Borg-Neal (pictured) wanted to expand into market towns with historic coaching inns where the company could then continue to grow.

Oakman Inns has previously focused on renovating old, often listed properties but will now increase its focus on looking for properties with rooms. They expect to grow their turnover to £9m in 2012 from 5m last year.
