Somerset House Corporate Events showcases venue of the year

Somerset House Corporate Events has just showcased its East Wing Galleries, hosted by Payne & Gunter in collaboration with renowned Welsh chef Bryn Williams, who also opened a new restaurant at Somerset House earlier this year.

150 exclusive clients headed to one of London’s most iconic cultural landmarks, Somerset House, for the prestigious showcase which saw the East Wing Galleries come to life.

Opening ahead of the festive party season, the East Wing Galleries (pictured by Matt Chung), primarily used as an exhibition space as part of Somerset House’s cultural programme, is available for a limited time only (until April 2019) for exclusive private hire with up to 300 for standing receptions.

With beautiful high ceilings, grand windows and open plan interlinking rooms, the galleries offer a versatile, opulent space for events and Christmas parties.

During the evening, guests enjoyed an exclusive menu from Bryn Williams Events which featured delicious dishes including; compressed watermelon, Dorset crab and avocado; Pan fried stone bass and saffron fennel; roast salsify, rainbow chard, girolle mushroom and beetroot dressing; pink lady posset, tonka bean, marshmallow and blackberries.

Jenny Freestone, Head of Corporate Events at Somerset House, commented, 'We were thrilled to showcase our fabulous East Wing Galleries last week. Having recently won Best Christmas Venue at the London Venue Awards, it has been great to give event professionals a taste of the East Wing, which is available for Christmas party packages for the very first time this year.”
