Sodexo expands team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh


Sodexo is bolstering its team at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh with the appointment of Marco Nobrega as Head Chef and Sara Gray as Recruitment and Training Executive.

The new additions are part of the venue’s continued investment in its people and aims to enhance the overall food and drink experience.

Nobrega joins the kitchen at the Gateway restaurant, leading the food and beverage team. With a comprehensive knowledge of the industry and he will look to bring his contemporary culinary experience to the forefront, introducing new concepts to the restaurant’s menu, using the best locally sourced produce.

He started his career in Maderia before travelling throughout Corsica and the Channel Islands, and has settled in the capital. Nobrega has worked in top hotels and restaurants across Edinburgh, most recently working as Head Chef in the Bonham Hotel. His exacting standards and expertise in the latest cooking trends will influence the Gateway restaurant’s menu in the coming seasons.

Sara Gray joins the team as Recruitment and Training Executive, her role forms part the venue’s continued investment in its people to drive the success of the business on a day to day basis. Her primary focus will be on the continued development of the team at the Botanics and looking for new and innovative ways to improve the venue’s offering.

Gray has previously helped over 300 clients into employment and will bring this high standard of recruitment to the business.
