Aberdeenshire hotel changes hands

The country house hotel, Fife Lodge Hotel in Banff, Aberdeenshire, has been purchased by Hamish McLeay via Christie & Co, for an undisclosed price.

The Fife Lodge Hotel is located in the historic seaside town of Banff, off the leafy Sandyhill Road, on one of the principal routes into Banff from the south (A97). Situated on the north eastern coast of Scotland, Banff is on the River Deveron which flows into the Moray Firth.

Set in its own private grounds with stunning views, the hotel features eight ensuite bedrooms, restaurant, and a large function room and bar with capacity for up to 300 guests, making it an ideal location for wedding ceremonies, meetings and conferences.

Tony Spence, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Hospitality team handled the sale and commented, “The Fife Lodge hotel has been independently owned and operated for over seven years and is well established within the town.

'The owner put the hotel on the market to retire and wanted to pass the hotel onto new enthusiastic owners who could continue providing excellent hospitality service to the resident population and larger catchment area.”
