Flip Out sees Chicago Town Pizza sales rise by 68% at Bristol site

The UK's leading adventure & trampoline park operator, Flip Out has reported that since adding Dr Oetker's Chicago Town Pizza To Go to its hot food offering at its Bristol site, sales have soared.

Since the partnership began back in May 2021, Flip Out Bristol has seen a staggering 68% increase in sales, a rise of 24% since replacing its previous offering.

Flip Out began stocking Chicago Town’s Pizza to Go (PTG) to find new ways to cater to its wide range of audience and their tastes. The food-to-go service offers pizzas by the slice which can be cooked, prepared, and packaged to ensure a delicious day out.

According to Flip Out, its key advantage of working with Chicago Town has been how easy it has been to cook, prepare and package the pizza. The journey from frozen to ready to sell takes only up to 15 minutes – perfect for it’s customers who are often looking for a quick bite to eat.

Chicago Town Pizza to Go offers pizza by the slice in a range of six flavours including: Loaded Cheese, Loaded Pepperoni, Chicken & Bacon and Magnificent Meat Feast), and two brand new vegan options. Each pizza features a fresh rising dough loaded with its signature tomato sauce and stuffed crust.

Joe Storer, Flip Out's F&B operations manager, said, “Chicago Town pizza slices have a wide appeal within Flip Out’s guests. Particularly popular with parties where the pressure of sorting food is taken off the organiser – not having to gather individual food choices from guests.

“The grab and go option has seen an increase in impulse purchasing, knowing guests can pick up a bite to eat after their session finishes is great, particularly if they are in a rush.”

“With our hot food sales up and party operations streamlined, partnering with Chicago Town has eased operational pressure on our kitchen staff, meaning Flip Out can do what we do best, and that is to create unforgettable experiences, one guest at a time.”

Senior brand manager at Chicago Town, Richard Cooper, noted, “Chicago Town has had positive feedback on our Pizza to Go feature, and it is great to see it reflected at Flip Out Bristol, with the customers and team loving our delicious quarter slices!

'You don’t often see pizza being served well as an on-the-go solution, with many operators struggling to hold it beyond one hour. Our pizza performs well in hot hold cabinets, holding for up to three hours using Chicago Town’s self-serve packaging.”

Richard finished, “Branded point of sale material and packaging has helped to make food a real destination in-store, making it difficult for the customers to miss.

'Flip Out has also reported on impressive month-on-month sales with excellent customer feedback and repeat purchases of the Chicago Town Food to Go offering.'

Pizza to Go offers forecourts and convenience stores to prepare and sell quarter slices of stuffed crust Chicago Town pizzas.

Pizzas are delivered frozen to retailers, with each one being prepared, cooked, bagged and on sale in as little as 15 minutes, whilst being held in either the customers own hot hold or a Chicago Town branded HAD50 table top hot hold which is available to purchase via Nisbets.

The HAD50 hot hold unit is compatible with a standard three-pin plug, with ease of use as it heats up within 30 minutes, ready to hold pizza slices. Quality is retained for up to three hours, helping to achieve the speed of service they require.
