Kricket secures additional funding in preparation for the launch of its fourth restaurant

Kricket, the modern-Indian restaurant group, has secured a new round of funding from White Rabbit Projects (WRP) to fuel its continued expansion across the UK.

Kricket was initiated by co-founders Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby in 2015, starting as a pop-up in London's Pop Brixton.

After securing initial funding from WRP, co-founders Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby established their first permanent site in London's Soho in 2016. Subsequently, the pop-up transitioned into a full-time restaurant in Brixton in May 2018.

In 2018, they further expanded their presence by opening a restaurant in London's White City. Looking ahead, the duo is set to launch their fourth site in Canary Wharf in the spring of 2024.

The upcoming 85-cover restaurant is scheduled to be operational for lunch and dinner every day of the week. Positioned adjacent to the group's second cocktail bar, Soma, which initially debuted in Soho in 2021.

Kricket, with a workforce exceeding 120 employees, achieved sales of £7.3 million in 2022. As of September 30, 2023, its like-for-like sales showed a notable increase of 17% compared to the previous year.
