Legacy take over two more former Surya hotels

Oxfordshire based Legacy Hotels and Resorts has taken over the operation of two Surrey hotels, taking its managed portfolio to 21 UK sites.

The new hotels to join Legacy is the 96-bedroom Ramada Farnham (pictured) and the 87-bedroom Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead. Both will continue to be branded as Ramada properties for at least the next three months.

Both sites were previously operated by Surya Hotels who are in administration. Legacy has already taken over the management of four other Surya hotels in East Anglia, as reported earlier this month.

Andy Townsend, chief executive officer of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said there are plans to invest in both properties in the coming months.
