The CEO of the Groucho Club's owner is reportedly set to leave the business by January, after nearly four years in the role.
Ewan Venters is to step down as chief executive of the Artfarm hospitality group.
The former Fortnum & Mason boss, who currently leads the Groucho Club's owner, is expected to leave the business by January or sooner if a replacement is found.
Artfarm, founded in 2014 by Iwan and Manuela Wirth, the Swiss art dealers behind Hauser & Wirth, brought in Venters as CEO in January 2021. Venters' role has been focused on overseeing and expanding the hospitality division of the business.
During Venters' tenure as CEO, Artfarm made significant moves, including the acquisition of London’s Groucho Club for a reported £40 million. Additionally, the company has begun developing its first private members’ club outside of London, located in Yorkshire, with plans for it to open in 2026.

Artfarm’s portfolio includes the Fife Arms in Braemer, Mount St Restaurant in London’s Mayfair, and the newly launched Da Costa in Bruton.
