His appointment as hotel manager at The Savoy comes ahead of the launch of a new restaurant and retail spaces at the iconic London hotel.
Rob Van Eyck is set to join The Savoy in London as the new hotel manager starting in January 2025.
He will replace Russell Platt, who has left The Savoy to assume the role of general manager at the Cadogan, a Belmond hotel, in Chelsea.
Rob Van Eyck will join The Savoy from The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Edinburgh, where he has served as manager for the past three years. During his tenure, the property earned two prestigious Michelin Keys.
Originally from the Netherlands, Rob Van Eyck graduated from the Hague Hotel School and has built an impressive career in the hospitality industry. He has previously worked in prestigious hotels such as the Sheraton in Edinburgh and with Marriott in Rotterdam

A refurbishment of The Savoy’s rooms and suites began in August 2024, with the new look expected to be unveiled in August 2025.
