Esquires Coffee has just opened its 29th UK store in Maidstone town centre. The store, which is situated on Gabriel’s Hill, specialises in Fairtrade and organic coffee, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea.
The store is the first Esquires Coffee franchise for owner Umair Shafiq, who having prior experience working in an operations role in the coffee industry, is said to be ‘very excited to be starting a new business venture in the booming coffee sector.’
Esquires Coffee will also be opening new stores in Balham and Esher by August 2017.
Founded by Doug Williamson and Gary Buckland in Canada in 1993, the intellectual property and trademark rights for the business are now owned by New Zealand-based Cooks Global Foods Ltd globally and by Retail Food Group in Australia.
The coffee house chain comprises of more than 130 stores in Canada, the UK, Ireland, the Middle East, China and Australasia.
