Crown Care to acquire pub from Marstons to build care home


Care home group, Crown Care is to acquire The Claregate pub in Wolverhampton from Marston's pub company in order to build a 'high quality development' creating 100 jobs.

Crown Care has said the home will look like a five-star hotel and feature a large cafe and garden area which will be open to the public.

The home is stated to have between 68 and 76 ensuite bedrooms, catering for residential, nursing and dementia care.

There will be lounge and dining facilities throughout the home, a cafe, hair salon and multi-activity room, as well as landscaped gardens.
