Burning Night plans Beverley pub acquisition with £600k revamp

Leeds-based bar and pub operator, Burning Night Group has lodged plans to invest £600k in Hodgsons, a landmark pub in Beverley, Yorkshire.

The business, which operates 13 pubs, is planning to acquire the large pub, which is opposite the town's £120m Flemingate leisure, retail and college development.

Burning Night Group aims to rebrand Hodgsons as The Potting Shed – a new city centre-style bar brand which serves up upmarket food.

The new concept was successfully launched nine months ago at one of the company's pubs in Bingley, West Yorkshire.

If the scheme wins planning permission, work could get under way in the spring and open in summer.

Burning Night Group operates pubs, sports bars and bierkellers (German bavarian-style bars) in cities including Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff.
